We need you!
Sat 22 Aug 09, 1-4pm, Eastside Projects, 86 Heath Mill lane, Digbeth, Birmingham, B9 4AR
The event will consist of a costume building session, photoshoot and tournament. There will be amazing prizes for the best costumes and for tournament winners. All ages welcome.
Cardboard, glue and other materials provided – no experience necessary.
Tournament rules: Competitors make their own costume and weapon from cardboard only. The winner of each round is the competitor whose cardboard weapon does not break. Competitors fight to break each others weapons only, no contact with opponent.
The event will be photographed as artwork by Juneau Projects [Ben Sadler and Philip Duckworth]. All participants will be credited. Images and costumes from the event will be exhibited at the art school, BCU, Margaret St, Birmingham as part of Juneau Projects Wheatley Fellowship exhibition, 5-12 Sept, at the same time as the MA show.
Images will be posted online for participants to download.
